Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has been awarded the Badge of Honor “For Contribution to the Development of Parliamentarism” of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russia, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian delegation is set to take part in the eighth meeting of contracting parties to review compliance with the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management, which will be held at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna on 17-28 March, BelTA learned from the Nuclear Energy Department of the Belarusian Energy Ministry.

During the talks with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the two countries successfully withstood the pressure of sanctions, BelTA has learned.
