In January-May Belarus’ GDP increases by 9% to reach Br33.5 trillion

In January-May Belarus’ GDP reached Br33,5 trillion in current prices, or 9% up from the same period last year in comparable prices, BelTA has been told in the Ministry of Statistics and Analysis. GDP is projected to grow by 8-9% in 2007.

The industry accounted for 29.9% of GDP, transport and communications – 9.4%, trade and public catering – 11.7%, construction – 7.8%, agriculture – 2.3%.
