Belarus MFA sees no grounds for Adrian Severin to stay UN Special Rapporteur
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry believes there are no grounds for continuing the activities of Adrian Severin as the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights. The statement was made by spokesman of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Andrei Popov at a press briefing today. He underscored, the Belarusian side insists on abolishing this compromised mandate.
Discussions during the 5th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva showed that most delegations support Belarus and speak for abolishing the mandate of the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Belarus.
