Rossony-based Plant of Manufactured Goods launches foam-rubber production

The Rossony-based Plant of Manufactured Goods has become the first one in Belarus which launched the foam-rubber production, BelTA learnt from director of the plant Grigory Khomko.

According to him, in late 2006, a business-plan was developed to launch the new kind of production. In line with the business-plan, the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee allocated Br65 million to purchase equipment and Br70 million more – to purchase expensive raw material. At the expense of these funds, the plant purchased the Russian-made equipment which can produce 30 tonnes of foam-rubber per month. The foam-rubber will be supplied to the companies which produce furniture.

According to Grigory Khomko, today, Belarusian producers import foam-rubber from Russia and other countries. So, the market of its production in this country is promising, he noted.

To improve the quality of products, the plant intends to receive the state support at the amount of Br80 million. These funds will be assigned for purchasing additional equipment for cutting, twisting and packaging of foam-rubber.
