Over 40,000 people to come to 16th Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk

This year over 40,000 spectators are expected to come at the 16th Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Kosinets told journalists today after the meeting of the working group on reconstruction of the Summer Amphitheater.

Before the reconstruction the Summer Amphitheater seated about 5,000 people, now there are 6,240 seats. Besides, this year there will be more concerts featuring famous pop stars Due to the abovementioned measures the Slavonic Bazaar self-repayment will reach 70%, Alexander Kosinets said.

According to him, the festival is mainly funded by Belarus. This year a total of Br3.6 billion will be allocated for the festival. The Union State will channel Br1.7 billion, Belarus and Russia will allot Br1.2 billion and Br700 million respectively.
