Family crew from Orsha region threshes first thousand tones of grain

In Vitebsk oblast the first thousand tones of grain has been threshed by the family crew – father and daughter Vyacheslav and Ilona Konyshko from the agricultural company Kupalovsky /the Orsha region/. The celebration in honor of the first heroes of the harvesting campaign will be held today, BelTA was told by chairman of the committee on agriculture and foodstuffs of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Leonid Pleshko.

In accordance with the rules of the oblast competition, the crew that first threshes one thousand tons of grain receives a bonus equaled to five base amounts and memorable gifts. Other crews from the Glubokoye and Dokshytsy regions will reach one thousand tons of grain by the end of the day.

According to the oblast committee on agriculture and foodstuffs, the oblast gathered 40% of the sown area and threshed 414 thousand tons of grain. Because of the recent rains the rates of the harvesting campaign were not high enough – 3.7% a day, the regions not suffering from bad weather show the index at 5%. The average crop capacity makes 30.2 centners per hectare what exceeds the last year figure by 2.2 centners. The highest amount of grain from one hectare is gathered in Orsha and Dokshytsy regions – 37.4 and 36.4 centners respectively. The oblast has competed 33% of the state order.
