Br11 billion to be allocated to renovate Vitebsk Oblast Hospital in 2008-2010

In 2008-2010, Br11 billion will be allocated to renovate the Vitebsk Oblast Hospital, BelTA learnt from head physician of the hospital Viktor Ovchinnikov.

According to him, the program of renovation has been developed taking into account the demands of the modern medicine. Medical equipment will be changed in neuro-surgical, traumatologic and other departments of the hospital. This year, a cardio-surgical department will be set up in the hospital. The basic equipment for it will be purchased by the Health Ministry. The oblast’s budget has also allocated more than $80 thousand to purchase medical instruments.
