Yuri Luzhkov to head official delegation during Days of Moscow in Belarus

Mayor of the Russian capital Yuri Luzhkov will head an official delegation, which will take part in the Days of Moscow in Belarus on June 13-16. In the course of the visit the Moscow mayor is expected to meet with the leadership of Minsk and Belarus, BelTA has been told by spokeswoman for the Moscow committee for interregional links and national policy Olga Veldina.

A gala-concert of the Moscow masters of art will open the Days in Minsk. On May 14, the Moscow mayor will give a reception in the Palace of the Republic.

Among the main actions to be held within the framework of the Days of Moscow in Belarus Olga Veldina pointed out the 11th sitting of the Business Cooperation Council of Moscow and the Republic of Belarus, a solemn opening ceremony of the Days of Children and Young People, a ceremony of laying a capsule into the foundation of the House of Moscow, a friendly football match between the Minsk and Moscow teams, an exhibition of works of the artists of the 19th – 20th centuries “Prisoners of the Beauty” from the stocks of the Tretyakov Gallery and the National Art Museum of Belarus.
