Wealth of people is measured by its creative potential, ability to develop science and production

The wealth of the people is measured first of all by its creative potential, the ability to create true cultural values, to develop science and production in a dynamic manner, President Alexander Lukashenko said during a meeting with students winners of international Olympiads in various subjects, creative contests and festivals, prizewinners of the Special Funds of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the Social Support of Gifted Students and Pupils and the Talented Youth.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, the Head of State said: “Your achievements and your talent are the national wealth, true golden reserves of the country”.

According to Alexander Lukashenko, in spiritual and intellectual development of the nation great is the role of profession adherents, true patriots. “Honouring the achievements of our youth today, we pay tribute to their capabilities," he said.

The President urged the talented youth and student to be careful not to catch the “star disease”. “Please remember that talent is 10% given by Nature and 90% gained by labour. Only constant self-development and tireless honing of professional skills will help you reach true highs in your sphere of activity,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
