Sergei Sidorskiy visits wood processing company in Postavy

Today Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorskiy visited the private production unitary company Postavy Furniture Center in Postavy, Vitebsk oblast to familiarize himself with a modern wood processing facility.

Postavy Furniture Center is involved in log-processing and planing activities. The main type of products – doors and windows made of pine-trees. The production process is based on the use of ecologically friendly materials only. The products have Belarusian and Russia conformance certificates. For the five months of the current year the company sold products worth of Br8,2 billion or 26.4% more as against the same period of 2006. The clear profit exceeded Br1 billion. The monthly output is estimated at Br2 billion. The product profitability – 21.2%.

The company employs 650 specialists. At present it has been expanding production and creating new jobs. Postavy Furniture Plant has a football stadium with three football fields and a stand seating 1,2 thousand people, an electric indicator panel and an illumination system. The plant also has a hotel compound for 50 people, a cafй, a medical center, a sports complex (a gym, a workout room and a swimming pool), a children’s sports school for 120 children.

Postavy Furniture Plant has technological equipment made by the leading European companies. The products made by the company are competitive in the international and domestic markets. They are sold in Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The export share makes 91%.
