Maria Mozhar’s film “Enemies” to open 6th National Festival of Belarusian Films in Brest

Maria Mozhar’s film “Enemies” will open the 6th National Festival of Belarusian Films. The opening ceremony of the film forum will be held in Brest movie theater “Belarus” on September 29, BelTA learnt in the culture department of the Brest Town Executive Committee. The contest programme of the festival includes 7 fiction films, more than 30 documentary films and 10 animated films. The Brest film festival will feature a lot joint works for the first time. Festival’s jury panel will be led by famous Russian film director Andrei Eshpai. His last work “Dots” will be also demonstrated during the forum. Famous Russian actress Yekaterina Simonova, who starred in “Dots”, is expected to arrive in Brest to present the film. The traditional prize of the national film forum – “Crystal Stork” – will be awarded in 10 nominations. The Grand Prix of the festival will be awarded for the best manifestation of the national theme. New special prizes will be presented as well. The film forum will be running through October 3. Film of Swedish director Kai Pollack “Like in Haven” will finish the festival.
