In H1 2007 actual size of retirement pensions grows in Belarus by 10.1% as against same period of 2006

In January-June this year the actual size of retirement pensions grew by 10.1% in Belarus as against the same period of 2006, BelTA was told in the Ministry of Statistics and Analysis of Belarus. The forecast target for 2007 is 7.8-8.7%.

In H1 2007 the average monthly retirement pension grew by 18.3% compared to the analogous period of 2006 (the forecast target – 15.3-18.5%) and totaled Br292.4 thousand including in June – Br292.8 thousand. The average monthly minimal retirement pension increased by 13.9% (8.6-9.3%) and totaled Br166.4 thousand including in June – Br168.7 thousand. The ratio between the minimal retirement pension and the subsistence wage reached 108.8% (105%) including in June – 106.3%.

According to the source, labour pensions will be recalculated till the end of the current year.

Minimal labour pensions and social pensions have been indexed three times since the beginning of the current year (on February 1, May 1 and August 1). The indexation was connected with the changes in the size of the subsistence wage per capita, the ministry informs.
