Foreign Ministry of Belarus gathers information about Belarusian nationals in Gaza Strip

The Foreign Ministry of Belarus via the Belarusian Embassy in Tel-Aviv gathers information about the Belarusians who are staying in the Gaza Strip, BelTA learnt in the Consular Department of the Foreign Ministry.

Now there is no information about the exact number of Belarusians in the Gaza Strip. So far some Belarusians who wish to leave the region have contacted the Consular Department of the Embassy.

The Belarusian Embassy in Tel-Aviv closely cooperates with Russian and Ukrainian diplomatic missions. A preliminary agreement on rendering assistance in evacuating Belarusians from the Gaza Strip has been achieved. “In case Russia and Ukraine launch a large-scale evacuation operation, Belarusians will be taken on board too,” Foreign Ministry’s representatives stressed. In case of necessity the Belarusian Embassy in Tel-Aviv will issue or substitute travel documents for Belarusian nationals.

In connection with the aggravation of situation in the Gaza Strip the Belarusian Foreign Ministry warns Belarusian nationals against visiting the zone of conflict.
