Fifteen summer camps set up in former interior troops units

Fifteen summer military-sports patriotic camps for teenagers have opened this summer in the former units of the interior troops of the Interior Ministry in Minsk, Vitebsk, Brest, Mogilev, Grodno, Bobruisk, Polotsk, Baranovichi, Rechitsa and the village of Okolitsa in the Minsk region. This summer the camps will receive 700 boys who will undergo basic military training.

The spokesman for the interior troops Pavel Traulko told BelTA that such camps focus on moral and patriotic upbringing of young people, their preparation for military service. A shift in the camp usually lasts 15 days. Most of the boys are from dysfunctional families.

Strict discipline is coupled with the army consistency in the camps. The boys get familiar with the military materiel and weapons, learn self-defence skills. The tours to historical sites, exhibitions, museums are available.

Eight more camps will open this summer in Minsk, Gomel, Bobruisk, Glubokoye and Baranovichi for 230 teenagers.
