To the personnel of the National Library of Belarus Dear friends, I would like to cordially congratulate you on the 85th anniversary of the National Library of Belarus. Founded in the early 20th century, the library, from the first days of its existence, became the major book depository, a bibliographic, cultural and socio-political centre of the country. The work of the library personnel is an unsurpassed paragon of selfless and sincere serving to the ideals of kindness, humanism and education. The National Library is an inexhaustible and permanently enlarging source of information, the embodiment of constructive power and intelligence of the Belarusian people. The new building of the library is a real symbol and decoration of the country, its visiting card. I wish strong health, energy and further labour achievements to the library personnel and its readers.
