Belarusian team wins World High Speed Telegraphy Championships
Belarus’ team won the 7th World High Speed Telegraphy Championships held in Belgrade (Serbia) on September 20-23.
Belarusian sportsmen picked up 42 medals – 21 gold ones, 15 silver and 6 bronze medals and took the 1st place. As always, sportsmen from Mogilev, Minsk and Svetlogorsk were the best ones. Honored Master of Sport of Belarus Andrei Bindasov became a world champion among men. He set a new world record (283 signs a minute). Belarusian sportswoman Irina Teterskaya became a world champion among women.
Taking part in the competition were 150 participants from 19 countries worldwide. The competition included four disciplines: transmitting tests, receiving tests, RUFZ and Morse runner.
