Belarus to host Days of Russian Language on June 21-24

On June 21-24, the Days of the Russian Language will be held in Minsk within the framework of the Russian Language Year in the Republic of Belarus.

As BelTA learnt from Counselor of the Russian Embassy in Belarus Alexander Frolov, the Days of the Russian Language will be opened in the library of Belarus’ State Medical University on June 21. The program of the Days includes the scientific-practical conference “Technologies of Teaching Russian as Foreign Language” (on June 21-22) and the seminar “Certification and Tests of Russian Language Proficiency for Foreign Students” (on June 23-24). Opening the seminar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus Alexander Surikov will deliver a welcoming speech.

Academician of Russia’s Education Academy, President of the Pushkin’s Russian Language Institute Vitaliy Kostomarov, Professor of the Institute Anatoliy Schukin, Professor of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia Tatiana Balykhina are expected to arrive in Minsk to take part in the Days of the Russian Language.
