Belarus temporarily bans supplies of poultry meat and fodder additives from Krasnodar Krai
Since September 5 Belarus has imposed temporary restrictions on the import of poultry meat, fodder and fodder additives from Krasnodar Krai, as a bird flu case was registered there, BelTA learnt from deputy chief of the head veterinary medicine department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs of Belarus Mikhail Bushilo.
According to him, the ban also applies to meat products transported by passengers coming from Krasnodar Krai.
Belarus has banned the import of all meat products by all types of transport from all countries since August 11 due to the worsening of the epizootic situation, Mikhail Bushilo noted. Specialists of the state-run company Belarusian State Veterinary Department of Control at State Borders thoroughly inspect carry-on luggage. All meat products found are immediately destroyed.
